Let the blogging begin...
So why do I feel the need to launch a blog? What is it I think I can contribute to the Internet community? What the heck is a "Sobutumyeah"? These are all good questions unfortunately only one of them has a good answer.
Since this is my first blog entry I'm going to keep it short and objective. Mainly I'm just going to answer those three questions listed above.
- Why do I feel the need to start a blog? Because I finally got a digital camera and because I actually think my life is interesting enough to justify some self-documentation. But mainly because I finally got a digital camera.
- What is I hope to contribute? Pretty pictures (did I mention I just got a digital camera?) Other then that I'm hoping that others may see my life and be inspired and/or warned as to the full effects of working hard and being lucky.
- What is a Sobutumyeah? Nothing! (I told you only one of these questions had a good answer.) My wife came up with this one. It's pronounced "so-but-um-yeah". It comes from a horrible habit I have of not being able to start a conversation without using one (or more) of those words before I start saying anything meaningful. More then once she has caught me saying all of them. I thought my wife was the only one that noticed this little annoyance until I told someone at work what it meant and she too immediately knew what I was talking about. So... um... that's embarrassing.
