30 November 05 - 13:20Brahma - the H is thinking FOAM

So when in the Galapagos, order a Brahma, grande. Fantastic cerveza. Truly never have I ever drank so much beer three nights in a row and still felt this fantastic. On one of the three nights, I cant remember which, we found a Brahma coaster. Its the usual Brahma logo but with this cartoon bubble-like thing coming out above the letter "H". In this bubble is a picture of foam. Monica, in stroke of brilliance says, "The H, its thinking... Fooaamm." It might as well be thinking about something, its not like the silent letter has anything else to do?

30 November 05 - 13:19Marco... Chicken!!!

Ok, so my Spanish speaking ability is somewhere between really lousy and non-existent but I thought I knew a few words. Apparently not. So far this has been most clearly demonstrated by my butchering of the Spanish word for chicken, "pollo".

29 November 05 - 12:44Origin of the Xmas - Part dos

To the lefttThe plane touched down in Quito, Ecuador around 2300. After checking through customs I finally met the rest of the research party. I would tell you what everyone's name is and what they do but after 17 hours of taveling, nothing they said seemed to stick. I was pretty much in survival mode only. Without too much fanfair the group made it to the hotel, checked in and (a few of us) proceeded staight to the bar.

28 November 05 - 22:31Origin of the Christmas

Despite having lived in many parts of the US I'm pretty accustomed to saying that when I think of the holidays I generally think, cool/cold weather, good warm foods, fires, sweaters and maybe an occasional white Christmas. So I'm expecting this year to be a bit of a shock, as I will be spending it smack on the Equator. Can you guess where?

24 November 05 - 17:23Ah Turkey Day... I had steak.

look ma, no dishes

When most people think of Thanksgiving the image of turkey, dressing, spinch casarole fill the mind, like the way the cranberry sauce fills a tin can. This image is coupled with that of family, so of whom have travelled from distant lands to mooch of the feast and outs you from your bed to the floor, in the basement, with your cousins. The meal is followed by that period of time when you on most vuneralbe, your capacities crippled by the triptapan. Can you think of any reasons to try an alternative?

22 November 05 - 17:38Hail to the king!!

The bed of bedsWell there comes a time in a man's life where he decides it's time to get that obscenely large 50" HD capable, plasma television... I'm not there yet. Instead I went out and got a bed. So by now you're probably asking yourselves (Cass & possibly Eric, the only two people who know this blog exists) why does a bed justify it's own entry in a blog... because it truly is just as amazing as that 50" HD capable plasma television. I'm talking about the Sterling Silver Lining 7500 with the memory foam inserts, king size of course. The bed for when only the best will do.

17 November 05 - 10:50Let the blogging begin...

So why do I feel the need to launch a blog? What is it I think I can contribute to the Internet community? What the heck is a "Sobutumyeah"? These are all good questions unfortunately only one of them has a good answer.
